THE DRAGON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS & THE ALPINE LAKES TOUR JOIN FORCES

Red Paddle Co have announced that the 2019 Dragon World Championships will run in unison with the Alpine Lakes tour in Lake Annecy, France.

The DWC is open to everyone from complete novices to experienced SUP racers with teams from all over the world signed up for the challenge. The two-day event will take place on the 15th – 16th June 2019 and will be packed full of action with everything from Dragon racing and solo competitions to SUP yoga and after parties making an unforgettable and unique SUP experience. Entries close on 9th June with limited spots available so why not rally the troops and enter a team today to join in the fun!

Set along the on the breath-taking shores of Talloires beach, the Dragon World Championships is just 30 minutes from Geneva airport and will run alongside the world- famous Alpine Lakes FAT & POP Races.

Head of Marketing at Red Paddle Co, George Shillito commented, “It is fantastic to continueto work with our friends at the Alpine Lakes Tour and continue to bring accessible racing to the forefront of our global SUP community. The itinerary this year has been crafted to enableparticipants to take part in as many races as they wish and with a children’s race on thefinals day, it set to be a perfect SUP event for the whole family.”

The Dragon World Championship races will see teams battle it out in two competitive elimination rounds. As in previous years, the race lengths and formats with vary designed to test not only speed and power but team camaraderie, coordination and determination.
