We begin our journey in the Coast Mountains in the Sea to Sky Corridor, an hour drive north from Vancouver. The Pacific Ocean and the Howe Sound inlet stop here and the waterways begin. With multiple rivers from easy cruising to class 4, there is ample opportunity for everyone to get out and have a fun time. There are four spectacular rivers for eager paddlers less than one hour from downtown Squamish. The Squamish River on the edge of town is a sweet start point as it flows through a valley of peaks and ends at the ocean with an opportunity to paddle in the Squamish Estuary: a haven for over 200 species of migrating and wintering birds. You’ll also see seals and salmon playing under your board.
