As soon as we returned, we were rallying friends and family to jump aboard as well as planning our next adventure. I was really thankful that I took the swift water rescue course that my good buddy Johnny Burak (who has been a rafting guide for 15 years) convinced us to do. It’s mandatory if you want to survive river trips in B.C. or anywhere for that matter, especially when there is wood, snags, holes, whirl pools and whatever else along the route. Having Jon on board taught me and the crew tons, and we are incredibly grateful that he shared his skills with us. One should never underestimate water and its power.
