“Mike Hayden, co-owner of Des Moines company Paradise Pads, decided to attempt to break the world record for both the largest stand up paddle board and the most people on a paddle board. Parks Marina was chosen as the test site in the Lakes Area, and Parks employees got first crack at the record attempt as a team building exercise. The general public also took their turn later that morning. Both trips may have broken the record, but Hayden and Parks staff are waiting for confirmation.”
