SUP INTERNATIONAL MAGAZINEWSA ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SIAN SYKES

Sian Sykes, from Psyched Paddleboarding, based in North Wales has become the first person to achieve the Water Skills Academy Expedition Guide Status, a globally recognised award at the highest level.

This qualification is groundbreaking in SUP guide education, it includes all aspects required to lead SUP clients in remote, wilderness environments during multi day journeys. It brings together key essentials to travel safely, ethically and with confidence, utilising the wide range of skills.

“The SUP Expedition Guide award is the highest level award offered by the WSA and the only award of its kind for SUP guiding worldwide. With several training courses run annually, the expedition aspirant is required to gain extensive experience and depth of knowledge in this area. The assessment process involves a journey of three days, two nights with candidates being assessed continuously. We are very pleased announce that Sian has become our first SUP Expedition Guide.
