Denmark is bidding for the 2017 ISA World StandUp Paddle & Paddleboard Championship. If awarded the bid Denmark will be the first European country to host the ISA World StandUp Paddle & Paddleboard Championship.

The event is a unique collaboration between Copenhagen and Cold Hawaii. That is why the bid has been dobbed COPENCOLD HAWAII. The major 12 day event will see between 280 and 300 athletes from 50 countries competing across the two venues. Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and located on the east coast of Denmark. The city is home to nearly 1.3 million people, part of 3.9 million inhabitants in the Greater Copenhagen region. Copenhagen Harbour will host the longdistance racing, standup paddle and prone paddleboarding.

Cold Hawaii is on the west coast of Denmark and part of Thisted Municipality home to 44.5 thousand people. Cold Hawaii will host the SUP Surf, Technical Racing and the Relay Race.
