MARIA AWSI 2019 NOMINATION | MARIA ANDRES

July 24, 2019
by

“During the last years, María Andrés has been traveling in search for the best waves to ride, either in her windsurf or SUP board. She loves discovering new places and writing travel articles to share her experience with other passionate surfers, aiming to inspire and motivate those who are starting to get into watersports.

Competing since the age of 13, windsurfing has taken María to new horizons and sparked her love of travel and discovery, while keeping her pushing her own limits.

During 2018, the IWT tour took María to some of the best down the line spots in the world, Tour where after leading until the end, she finished 2nd overall, just a few points away from taking the victory.

She is now fighting for the 2019 IWT title, feeling grateful to be living her dream: windsurfing world class waves and writing travel articles for magazines about her trips.

María Andrés has recently been nominated for the AWSI Female Windsurfing Athlete of the Year award.”
